No. It is completely free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
The contest and sweepstakes runs May 3, 2009 to July 31, 2009 and is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and D.C. who are age 13 or older at the time of entry. For more details, click here for the Official Rules.
There are over $23,000 in cash and great grilling prizes up for grabs in the contest. Each First Place winner (one in each of the five contest categories plus a Viewers Choice winner) will bag a prize package valued at $2,500. There will also be Second Place and Third Place prize winners. The overall grand prize winner gets $10,000 in cash and prizes.
In the sweepstakes, there will be instant winners and weekly prize winners. For more details on all the prizing, click here for the Official Rules.
To enter the contest, complete the online registration form to create an account. Then follow the instructions to upload a photograph/image and create a contest submission.
There will be First Place, Second Place and Third Place winners in EACH of the five categories plus Viewers Choice winners and an overall Grand Prize winner. The five categories are:

After creating your _____VILLE, you can enter the email addresses of your friends (use a comma to separate each address). Once your submission is approved, they will be sent a message to come check out your ______VILLE and to vote for you!
We reserve the right to deny any ____VILLE which we deem the text or imagery to be inappropriate or otherwise not in good “taste”. Click here for the Official Rules.
To modify a submission that has been denied, simply log into your account, click that _____VILLE and make the appropriate changes to the image, title and/or caption and resubmit.
To share with friends on your favorite social network, scroll over a _____VILLE until the social network icons appear. Click on the social network you wish to use and follow the easy step-by-step process to share.
To share with a friend via email, click on a _____VILLE, enter your email address and the send to email address and we’ll send them a “Check this out” message from you.
To enter the sweepstakes, complete the online registration form to create an account. You will then automatically receive an entry into the sweepstakes.
Once you are logged in you can easily view all the _____VILLES that have been created and help us choose the winners by voting for your favorites.
Each day that you return and log into your account you will receive one bonus entry.
